Just some more random thoughts as I sit on my couch on a Saturday morning not really doing anything, yet feeling very productive. You see I always thought you had to be doing something to be productive. Actually I guess that is true...although I had to alter my view of "doing something". I am beginning to realize (finally) that relaxing is doing something....too often we feel like we need to go, go, go in order to be getting something done...Not so...I had a particularly long week of working, fighting a stomach virus (I know TMI) and some family situations that were a little more stressful than usual....so what am I doing when I am doing nothing? Relaxing, recharging, renewing.....don't you wonder why the Bible tells us that six days we should work and one day we should rest? We are not made to run and run and run without taking some time to allow our minds, our bodies, and our emotions to to find their way back to normal....Now, I have a lot I plan to do today...after all it is Saturday, spring is right around the corner, the yard needs cleaning, the truck needs an oil change and I have several home improvement projects I am working on.... and I will get to some of those things today, but right now I am on my couch with my feet up, sipping on my third cup of coffee and not feeling the least bit guilty...why? because I am doing something...something very important.....Relaxing!!
